Catching up with Caroline Jensen

Vanguard Pro Caroline Jensen dropped a quick line to let us know how she's doing so far this summer. She happened to have a few recent images to share, and to coin a phrase, the picture (or in this case pictures) speaks for itself!

A Sony Artisan of Imagery, Caroline Jensen calls herself  “a photographic artist living on the prairie.”  She has been featured in numerous magazines, and teaches three popular workshops at Clickinmoms where she encourages creativity through both traditional and mobile photography.

"The following images were all taken after a large storm that hit our farm on May 23rd. All taken taken with an a7rII and 16-35mm and using the Vanguard VEO 235AB."

When the weather gets crazy, I love to set up shop just after a storm and hope that the sky presents me with a memorable scene.

Precision macro at wide apertures is impossible without my Alto Pro 254CT and BBH-100 ball head. I use a lens called the Lensbaby Sweet 35 plus Macro Converters. This produces a very small area of sharp focus surrounded by blur. It is very tricky, but a great stabilization system helps.
